Sightseeing near Ocean Breeze Resort

Dapoli - Mahabaleshwar of Konkan, Dapoli at an altitude of about 800 ft above sea level offers a real 'hug the clouds and kiss the sand' experience. The winding roads climbs up hills and pass through paddy fields to end up in sandy beaches.

Murud is the most popular beach in Dapoli, a word of caution here, Please don't confuse 'Murud' - Harnai with 'Murud' - Janjira near Alibag. Though their names are similar, they are located about 100 Kms apart from each other!!

Durga Devi Temple

Durga Devi temple is right at the start of the way leading to Murud beach is one of the most important temples in this part of Dapoli and is a must see during a visit to Murud. The temple is over 300 years old.

Suvarnadurg Sea Fort

Located about a quarter of a mile off the coast from Harnai port is the fascinating Suvarnadurg Fort. A rocky island, Suvarnadurg is about 8 acres big with stone wall bastions. There is no landing jetty at the Suvarnadurga fort. The fort also had a ship building facility.

Harnai Fishing Harbour

Harnai Fishing harbour is located just north of Murud. The harbour is famous for the fish auctions that happen everyday which is an awe inspiring affair. The fish auctions at Harnai happen every day at about 6 in the evening.

Situated adjacent to the beach, the stay was really comfortable and relaxing. The staff was definitely very helpful and prompt. I did not notice anyone wearing a mask. The staff did not insist on temperature checks or sanitization at all

Thank you team for nice hospitality and services. Murud Beach at walkable distance from resort..Own vehicle is required as it is 10-12km away from dapoli busstand. Auto rikshaw available from bus stand but from resort you won't get anything. You may need to ask resort manager and may they will help. Greenery and colourful pictures, lightings, food quality and yesterday music was very much liked by us. Good food quality at reasonable price. Great experience..One may opt to go with ocean breeze beach resort.
